letter in my hand, my thoughts running wild as I wonder why, why would Lucinda
write this letter? Tightening my hand on the letter as I move towards the bedroom
door and head out into the corridor, going to find Qhuinn as he is training in
the gym. Heading down the grand staircase and finding myself outside the gym in
no time at all. My gaze having never left the letter in my hand once as I
walked. Opening the gym door and stepping inside, my gaze instantly drawn to
Qhuinn over by the weights doing bicep curls. Stepping over to Qhuinn with the
letter held tightly in my hand*

put the dumbbell down and grab my towel to wipe my face. The look on your face
and the general atmosphere around you tells me something is wrong* What's doing
nallum? You look stressed *looking down at the letter in your hand*

that I didn’t even realise I was holding as I look up at you and seeing you
peering down at the letter I hold.* Fuck nallum. I just received this letter

letter from you wondering what the fuck this is about. Reading the letter and
re-reading it to make sure I read it right. Thoughts swimming around through my
mind while I'm re-reading it* Where did you get the letter from nallum? Are you
sure this isn't a trick to let us stop looking for her?

*Looking back at the
letter in your hand and wrapping my arms tightly around myself. Looking up at
you shocked as you suggest it may be a trick* King Wrath brought the letter
along to me a few minutes ago. As for it being a trick, Nallum I never even
thought of that. *Reaches up and runs a shaky hand through my hair* The
handwriting is definitely Lucinda’s and *looking at the letter* it doesn’t show
signs that she was forced to write it.

Let’s go with this not
being a trick and that Lucinda did write it herself. *My thoughts flashing back
to our pre trans days and how Lash was a bastard to everyone except Lucinda and
the way he always looked at her when she wasn't aware he was even paying
attention. He would be talking to someone but his eyes followed her everywhere
she went and he always spoke to her in a gentle tone. As gentle as is expected
from a bastard like him. Looking up at you I express my thoughts and finally
add* Lucinda was in love with Lash and we all knew that. He might never have
admitted to anyone about having feelings for her but from the way he treated
her he felt something for her and it was bordering on love. He was a selfish bastard and a cruel fucker
with anyone and everyone but not with her. Her very presence in the room used
to soften his dark mood. Could it be that what they felt for each other not so
long ago was rekindled? Now she wishes to stay?

complete shock as you mention that Lash felt at least something for Lucinda.
Blinking at you as I wonder how the hell I missed that. I never saw signs of
Lucinda feeling anything for Lash. Staring into space as I think back and try
to remember what happened and finding that all my attention was on you. The
only thing that maybe hinted at Lash feeling anything for Lucinda was the pet
name, he always called her Lucy. Looking back at you as I run my hand through
my hair* Nallum. *Sighs deeply and starts again* Nallum, do you really think
that could be true? Do you think Lash even knows how to treat Lucinda well? He
may have been nicer to her then but Nallum, we know he’s worse now, he’s
changed and it’s not in a good way.

*gripping the towel I
still hold tight in my fist at the thought of Lash and his evil cruel mind I
calm myself before replying to you* Nallum, Lash is a cruel fucker and I
wouldn't blink once to kill him again but he was very different where your
cousin was concerned. She had a way to calm him even during and after fights.
She would keep quiet and only look at him not saying anything and not
approaching him. She would just lock her eyes with his and both of them looked
calm and relaxed. *running a hand through my hair I step closer to you and pull

keep searching then we do. Lash has many fucking tricks up his sleeve but he
can't hide forever.

*Listening as you tell
me about the interaction you had seen between Lucinda and Lash, even more that
I missed. Looking down as I realised that while I was pining for you I had been
completely oblivious to everything else going on around me. Looking back up as
you pull me into your arms, I wrap my arms around you and hold onto you
tightly. A slight blush on my face as I look at you* Nallum. I completely
missed the connection between them. *sighing softly as I think back on Lucinda’s
request* I guess for the time being we do as she requests but I really hope you
are right about this connection between them and that he treats her well
nallum.

around you and letting out a troubled sigh* this is a difficult decision
nallum, I don't know if he is capable of treating anyone well but she is tough
that cousin of yours. She's always known how to handle him and even now I'm
using every ounce of faith to hope he treats her decent *the thought that
Lucinda will stay with Lash even if he doesn't treat her well bring a low growl
to my throat but the thought goes unspoken*

that Lucinda is tough and knowing that it’s true. Looking up into your eyes as
I frown* But nallum. She may be tough but she was so innocent. I hate that he
may have taken that from her forcefully. *Tightening my arms round you as I
think of what Lucinda may have been though and is possibly still going through*

she is or will be fine I simply hold you for a long while knowing the silence
speaks for itself as we both know very well he would have taken her innocence
already. The how is what leaves the bitter taste in my mouth as I swallow hard
and break the silence* You will never know what is truly going on with them
nallum, all we can do is trust that if she is choosing to stay with him it's
due to him treating her well and her wanting to be with him.

knowing the doubt is plain on my face, after seeing and hearing of all the
cruelties that Lash has inflicted upon others how can I possibly believe he
knows how to treat Lucinda well. Replying in a soft voice* I really hope so
nallum mine. I hope she can be happy somehow *The words leaving my lips in a
doubtful tone of voice*
